Football Tournament for the Cup of the Union of Generals and Admirals of the Republic of Bashkortostan will take place in Ufa
The football tournament for the Cup of the Union of Generals and Admirals of the Republic of Bashkortostan will be held on February 21, 2026 at School No. 7 in Ufa. The event is timed to coincide with Defender of the Fatherland Day and is aimed at fostering patriotism, strengthening intergenerational ties, supporting combat veterans, promoting a healthy lifestyle and forming a conscious attitude towards duty and the Motherland among young people.
The tournament will unite three generations of athletes, it will include:
- Ufa friendly match of football veterans 60+;
- Northern Lights Junior Cup children's tournament with the participation of FC Almaz and FC Voskhod teams;
- the adult tournament, which will be attended by veterans of military operations as part of the football clubs "Shuravi", "Yuryuzan", "Galle".
– Sport remains a powerful tool for fostering love for the Motherland: through honest struggle and respect, we pass on the ideals of service to the Fatherland to the younger generation. Our tournament unites civil servants, combat veterans, football veterans, and amateurs," said Marat Magadeev, Major General, member of the Board of the Union of Generals and Admirals of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Alexey Nesterov, the organizer of the Northern Lights Junior Cup children's tournament, emphasized:
– For young football players, this is not just a game, but an opportunity to show character, hone their skills and join the ideals of patriotism and team spirit from an early age. Such tournaments allow children to grow and develop.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Union of Generals and Admirals of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Football Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the support of the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia).
