Forum of Friendship of Arab Countries with Russia "Under One Sun" has ended in Jordan

The International Forum and the Constituent Congress of the Pan-Arab Union of Organizations for Friendship with Russia “Under One Sun” took place at the University of Jordan (Amman) from February 8 to 13, 2026 with the active participation of the Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly Andrey Belyaninov.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov sent greetings to the organizers, participants and guests of the Forum:

– It is encouraging that Russia's mutually beneficial partnership with Arab countries is consistently strengthening in a wide range of areas. It is based on the long–standing bonds of friendship between our peoples, mutual respect, and common interests. We appreciate the commitment of the civil society of our countries to expand non-governmental cooperation.

I am convinced that your forum will be held in a constructive atmosphere, and the Pan-Arab Union of Friendship Organizations with Russia will make a significant contribution to strengthening Russian-Arab ties and launch vibrant, sought-after cultural and humanitarian initiatives. I wish you successful work and all the best.

The key events of the forum were:

  • • Forum: discussion of the creation of friendship societies, student rating systems at Arab universities, etc.;
  • meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, Dr. Emad Hijazin;
  • meeting with Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the World Peoples Assembly;
  • meeting with Dr. Nidal Ibrahim Al-Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

– The Forum has become an important milestone in the relations between our countries. We discussed cooperation in a variety of areas, including education, culture, and the humanitarian field. And we have made significant progress in preparing for the World Public Summit. The Arab World, which is planned to be held in Baghdad (Republic of Iraq)," - said Andrey Belyaninov.
