The strategic session "Voices of the Regions: From Initiatives to Joint Action" took place on 18 September 2026 at the World Trade Center. The event became part of the Second World Public Assembly "New World: Values That Unite", which is taking place in Moscow from 18 to 19 September 2026.

The event brought together the results of the World Public Summits held in 2026 in India, Latin America and Africa, and opened a discussion about the next stage in the development of this international platform.

Participants of the session presented the key results of the regional meetings and discussed in detail the proposals reflected in the Delhi and Salvador Declarations, as well as in the African Communiqué. During the discussion, experts and opinion leaders identified a number of concrete initiatives that will receive further international development and institutional support.

A separate focus of the session was dedicated to the future of the World Public Summits. The speakers discussed issues of expanding the geography of the event, ensuring continuity between the organizing countries, as well as the formation of new platforms for public dialogue in the Arab world, China, and across the BRICS and ASEAN spaces.

— From above, one can see how small and fragile our planet is, our only common home. We have no alternative but to live together in peace and cooperate, emphasized the global interdependence of all peoples, President of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry Samip Shastri. He focused attention on the need to create education systems resilient to global challenges and crises that equip the younger generation with the skills of dialogue rather than confrontation.

The semantic focus of the speech by the President of the Central Organization of Workers of Brazil Adilson Araujo was the need to create new horizontal ties between trade union movements of different countries. "We share ideals that resonate with peoples around the world. Long live international solidarity!" — with these words he addressed the participants of the Assembly, calling for global unity of action.

The participants in the discussion also included:

  • Tsegaye Chama — Secretary General of the Global Black Centre;

  • Samir Habashneh — Secretary General of the Arab Peace Group; Program Director of the First World Public Summit

  • Aquiles Córdova Morán — Secretary General of the National Movement "Antorcha";

  • Takriku Negash — Deputy Director of the representative office of the international organization Serve Global Inc. in Ethiopia;

  • Chipata Mavuto Tembo — Head of the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in Zambia, Executive Director of the Her Voice Foundation Limited;

  • Nurul Ashiqin Binti Shamsuri — founder of the Fearless Foundation.

The moderators of the session were:

  • Svetlana Smirnova — Chairwoman of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly;

  • Yanina Dubeykovskaya — Deputy Executive Director of the World Peoples Assembly, Program Director of the World Public Assembly.

The key issue of the session was the search for workable mechanisms that make it possible to transform the diversity of regional voices into sustainable international partnerships. According to the organizers, the meeting successfully fulfilled the role of a transitional stage: from summing up results and exchanging experience, participants moved on to strategizing, outlining clear steps for transforming local initiatives into real joint action at the global level.

The World Public Summits have firmly established their status as a crucial space for international dialogue, in which each region contributes its unique cultural and civilizational experience, values and priorities to the common agenda.
