InvestSabantuy "Trans‑Urals‑2026" to Strengthen Bashkortostan's International Ties with Participation of the World Peoples Assembly
A meeting dedicated to the development of international relations of the Republic of Bashkortostan and preparations for the VIII All‑Russian Investment Sabantuy "Trans‑Urals‑2026" took place in Ufa at the "Honest Dialogue" platform in July 2026. The meeting was held with the participation of the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia) and the Italian regional non‑profit association SantAgostino.
The event brought together public figures, members of the World Peoples Assembly, major businesspeople and journalists. The key speaker was Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The moderator was Irina Abramova, Deputy Chairperson of the Public Council of the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia) and Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights in the region.
In her welcoming address, Margarita Bolycheva highlighted the role of the World Peoples Assembly in strengthening the republic's external ties and supporting entrepreneurs:
- This is an effective platform for building friendly bridges, providing invaluable support to the republic in strengthening external economic and, no less importantly, cultural ties.
The central theme of the VIII All‑Russian Investment Sabantuy "Trans‑Urals‑2026", to be held from 13 to 15 August 2026 in Sibay – a major industrial and cultural center of the Trans‑Urals region – will be "Economy of Victory". The event is organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia). The business program will include sessions, roundtables, masterclasses and panel discussions. The event will open with the V International Forum of Business Sheriffs. For the first time, the Sabantuy will feature the International Festival of Folk Arts and Crafts "Soul of Jasper", which in 2026 is timed to coincide with Sibay being granted the status of a World Craft City.
Elio Cappiello, President of the regional non‑profit association SantAgostino and a key ambassador of Italian culture in the republic, who has been a long‑standing partner of the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia), added:
- We invite residents of the republic to the traditional concert of Italian music and creativity in Ufa, which will take place in October and will be aimed at strengthening cultural ties and friendship between our peoples.
The Investment Sabantuy traditionally attracts a wide geographical range of participants: in 2025, it was attended by over 2,000 people from 28 regions of Russia and 10 countries. In 2026, a delegation from Afghanistan is expected to participate for the first time.
The meeting at the "Honest Dialogue" platform confirmed that the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia) remains an important instrument for open dialogue and interaction between civil society, business and government, while also contributing to the expansion of the republic's international cultural and economic cooperation.
