Preparation of the World Public Summit - The Arab World - Launched in Jordan

A delegation from the World Peoples Assembly, led by Secretary-General Andrei Belyaninov, arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to hold a series of working meetings dedicated to the preparation of the World Public Summit – The Arab World. The event is scheduled to take place in November 2026 in Amman.

On the first day of the visit, a working meeting was held with the leadership of the Arab Peace Group. It was attended by:

• Andrei Belyaninov – Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly;

• Svetlana Smirnova – Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly;

• Ali Nasser Mohammed – President of the Arab Peace Group, former President of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (1980–1986);

• Adnan Badran – former Prime Minister of Jordan;

• Samir Habashneh – former Minister of Culture of Jordan;

• Abdullah Oweidat – former Minister of Social Development of Jordan;

• Alena Dolgopolova – Secretary of State of the World Peoples Assembly;

• Yaser Allaham – Advisor to the Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly; 

• Pavel Bezdenezhnykh – Head of the Office of the Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly;

• Dr. Akram Jarab;

• Fayeqa Al-Sayed;

• Najla Hamad – Executive Secretary of the Arab Peace Group

as well as representatives of the organization responsible for the preparation and holding of the World Public Summit: The Arab World.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the concept of the event, its mission, program, the draft Amman Cooperation Initiative, as well as key areas of international public cooperation.

The meeting participants paid special attention to the development of public diplomacy, humanitarian cooperation, education, science, culture, youth initiatives, the role of the media, as well as the implementation of joint international projects aimed at strengthening trust and expanding partnerships between the countries of the Arab world and the international community.

An important part of the meeting also included organizational issues of preparing the Summit, mechanisms for further cooperation, the development of the system of annual World Public Summits, and the formation of an international community of public diplomacy, uniting representatives from various countries and regions of the world.

Following the meeting, the mutual interest of the parties in holding the World Public Summit: The Arab World in Amman and in continuing joint work on preparing its program, attracting international partners, and developing long-term public cooperation was confirmed.

In the coming days, meetings of the delegation of the World Peoples Assembly with representatives of Jordanian state bodies, international organizations, public associations, and business circles are scheduled, dedicated to the preparation of the Summit and the development of international public cooperation.
