Memorandum of Understanding between the World Peoples Assembly and the Centre for Studies in International Relations
On 26 March, 2026, in New Delhi, the World Peoples Assembly and the Centre for Studies in International Relations (CSIR) signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The signing was held as part of the World Public Summit: India "New World: India in the Architecture of a Shared Future".
The parties have decided on mutual consulting, information and expert support, strengthening cooperation with international partners, joint holding of conferences and forums.
The Memorandum was signed by the Coordinator of the Center for Studies of International Relations (CSIR), Dr. Punith Gaur, and the Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly, Svetlana Smirnova. Representatives of the Center for Studies of International Relations (CSIR) and members of the Scientific and Expert Council of the World Peoples Assembly also participated in the ceremony.
After the signing, Alexander Ageev, Chairman of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Assembly, said:
– Today, it is necessary to unite the efforts of the scientific and expert community around the world in order to gain awareness, conduct an unbiased analysis, make realistic assessments, develop scenarios, and formulate approaches, recommendations, and solutions for each of the current challenges that pose a threat not only to sustainable development, but also to the very existence of human civilization.
By signing this document, the parties have confirmed their interest in joining forces to develop mutually beneficial cooperation on a long-term basis.
– Modern India demonstrates a unique ability to combine historical heritage and modern approaches to development, offering its own vision of answers to key global challenges, - said Svetlana Smirnova, Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly of Peoples of the World, following the signing.
