The delegation of the World Peoples Assembly began its official visit to the Republic of Iraq with a meeting with Shamiran M. Odisho, President of the "League of Iraqi Women" organization in Baghdad.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of protecting the rights of women and children, as well as the role of the women's community in ensuring sustainable peace and regional cooperation, supporting the discussions by signing a cooperation agreement between the World Peoples Assembly and the League of Iraqi Women — an authoritative organization that unites more than 800 activists from Arab world countries.

Special attention during the meeting was given to the upcoming Arab Summit, which will take place in Baghdad in April 2026. The parties confirmed their readiness for cooperation during the preparation and conduct of the Summit.

The concluded agreement opens new opportunities for deepening dialogue, expanding intercultural ties, and promoting key values of peace, equality, and social justice.
