The Round Table "Generation of Unity: Youth and International Cooperation" was held in New Delhi
The International Roundtable "Generation of Unity: Youth and International Cooperation" was held on March 26, 2026, in New Delhi. The event was held as part of the World Public Summit: India "New World: India in the Architecture of a Shared Future". It brought together participants from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and other regions.
The moderator of the round table was Shallini Taneja, Professor, Head of the Economics and Business Policy Department and the Center for Sustainable Development at the FORE School of Management, specialist in economics and sustainable development (India).
The speakers also included:
- Atul Banshal — Executive Director for International Affairs, BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India;
- Renu Gulati — PhD, Professor at the Department of Human Development and Childhood Studies at the University of Delhi, specialist in Child Development at UNICEF, Executive Member of the Buniyaadi Sanskaar Foundation, which implements youth projects (India);
- John Aggrey — Founder and CEO of the Ghana Trade and Communications Center;
- Hassan Shafai — President of the Association of International Students (Syria).
Sameep Shastri — President of the Confederation of Young Leaders of India, addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech. Christopher Helali, International Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the USA, delivered a video message.
The main issues for discussion were:
- the development of humanitarian cooperation,
- strengthening of intercultural ties,
- search for new formats of interaction between youth organizations at the global level,
- education, leadership and social responsibility of youth as key factors of sustainable development,
- the importance of public diplomacy and youth initiatives in building trust and mutual understanding between countries.
The exchange of practical experience and ideas became an important part of the dialogue, highlighting the high level of involvement and interest of the participants.
The roundtable defined promising areas for further cooperation, including the development of joint educational and social projects, the expansion of youth platforms, and the strengthening of international partnerships.
