“Russkaya Pesnya” Theatre will host the Gala Concert of Laureates and Winners of the XXV Eurasian High Fashion National Costume Competition “ETHNO ERATO”

The Gala Concert of laureates and winners of the XXV Eurasian High Fashion National Costume Competition “ETHNO ERATO” will be held on September 28, 2026, on the stage of the Moscow State Academic Theatre “Russkaya Pesnya.”

— Since 2000, the competition has brought together professionals, enthusiasts of ethno-fashion, student youth, and representatives of national-cultural associations in their striving for creative communication and exchange of experience in the field of ethnic costume design, — the organizers note. — The Gala Concert will be a spectacular finale of the competition in 2026.

The competition is held in 9 nominations:

• “Best Slavic Costume,”

• “Best Costume of the Peoples of the Caucasus,”

• “Best Oriental Costume,”

• “Best Costume of the Finno-Ugric Peoples,”

• “Best Costume of the Peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East,”

• “Ethnic Motifs in Contemporary Costume,”

• “Best Costume of the Peoples of Africa,”

• “Retro of Ethnic Costume,”

• “Best Ethnic Stage Costume in Action.”

The geography of the competition is traditionally vast: it involves designers from Kamchatka, Zabaykalsky and Khabarovsk Territories, Yakutia to Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygea, and a number of cities in the Volga region and Central Russia, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and other countries.

Let us recall that the acceptance of applications for the competition started in April and ended on September 10.

For a quarter of a century, the project has been held with the support of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the City of Moscow, the World Peoples Assembly, and the Moscow House of Nationalities. The organizer is the regional public organization “Eurasian Women’s Forum.”

It is significant that the anniversary event is taking place in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The diversity of geography and nominations allows the competition to reveal the historical power of the unity of peoples through ethnoculture, discover new names, and pass traditional values from generation to generation.
