Council of Composers and Musicians of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly participates in an International Project related to Music Education
The Council of Composers and Musicians of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly took part in the development and organization of the International Humanitarian Project "Musical Education - Art Without Borders". The project is being implemented by the Russian Musical Union within a grant from the President of the Russian Federation.
Nine teachers of the Higher Institute of Music of Damascus arrived in Moscow to attend a refresher course. Syrian teachers in the classes of piano, violin, viola, double bass, clarinet, academic singing, music theory, accompanist art were trained at the M. M. Ippolitova-Ivanova State Music Pedagogical Institute.
Strengthening of diplomatic and cultural ties with Syria, development of intercultural communication, exchange of musical and educational experience are the project’s goals.
Two weeks - from 5 to 19 September Syrian teachers studied in Russia. The training ended with an international scientific and practical conference and a joint concert of Russian and Syrian musicians, which took place on September 17 in the Great Hall of the M. M. Ippolitova-Ivanova State Music Pedagogical Institute.
