A business breakfast on the topic "European and Asian Business Culture" was held as part of the 8th All-Russian Investment Sabantuy "Zauralsye-2026" in Bashkortostan on August 14, 2026.

The meeting, organized by the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia), was chaired by Rustam Muratov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy.

The business breakfast participants included entrepreneurs and experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Italy, Turkey, and the Republic of South Africa. The moderators were Irina Abramova, Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights in the Republic of Bashkortostan, and Ravil Vatolin, Director of the media holding "RBC-Ufa."

Opening the meeting, Rustam Muratov outlined the key principles of the republican team's work and introduced new economic instruments.

- In our management model, a word is a commitment. Eight years ago, the head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, told us: never allow yourselves to fail to fulfill promises you have made. No matter how difficult the circumstances are, agreements must be kept. That is how trust is built. Today, we continue this approach, creating new tools for economic development. One of them is the Bashkortostan Investment Regime, which we are presenting at the Investsabantuy platform, - he noted.

The business breakfast participants paid special attention to practical experience in international markets. Their impressions and examples were shared by Murat Kobeysinov, President of the Union of the Manufacturing Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Murotjon Karimov, Chief Engineer of the Project Office of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine from Uzbekistan; Serdar Şener, owner of the CinemaPink chain from Turkey; and Elio Cappiello, President of the Italian regional association SantAgostino.

Also, the participants were addressed by Sergey Ozertsov, Head of the Administration of the Sibay Urban District; Svetlana Vereshchagina, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan; Marat Tansykuzhin, Representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan at the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Turkey; and Ivan Ozhgikhin, General Director of the investment and technology holding company "EFIR."

Murat Kobeysinov spoke about the development of business cooperation with Bashkortostan and new projects:

- Over the past six months, we have established three joint ventures, signed an agreement with the machine-building company 'Vityaz,' started equipment production together with the Ishimbay Motor Plant, and created a joint venture with 'Medstalconstruction.' Business relations with Bashkortostan are actively developing. Ahead of us are new negotiations with companies interested in entering the markets of Central Asia, the Middle East, and Italy."

Sergey Ozertsov spoke about the significance of the forum for the municipality's development and the immediate plans for the city of Sibay:

- We call Sibay the heart of the Bashkir Trans-Urals. Thanks to such Investsabantuys, we see development prospects. We understand where we will be moving in the next year or two. Every Investsabantuy has been unique, and this year is no exception.

Sergey Ozertsov added that Sibay will receive an International Certificate granting it the status of a "World Craft City."

Marat Tansykuzhin spoke about the specifics of building international ties and the nuances of interacting with Turkish partners:

- The Representative Office of Bashkortostan, operating as part of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation, is a serious tool that not many Russian regions use. The very mentality of our Republic and the geography of doing business predetermine that our representative offices operate from the Far East to Europe. When it comes to working with Turkish partners, the impetus is provided by the fact that the Head of the Republic studied in Turkey, knows that country perfectly well, keeps his finger on the pulse, and personally speaks with our Turkish friends in their language during meetings — this adds a special warmth to the contacts.

Practically, in all sectors of the Republic, there are joint projects with Turkish partners. In particular, two years ago, an agreement on seed production was signed with an enterprise in the Abzelilovsky District, and this project is developing successfully.

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session in an open microphone format. Entrepreneurs were able to directly discuss with experts the nuances of business etiquette and intercultural communication when interacting with partners from Europe and Asia. The business breakfast served as a platform for exchanging practices in international cooperation, seeking new business contacts, and strengthening ties between representatives of business, government authorities, and public diplomacy from different countries.
