Meeting of the World Peoples Assembly Representatives with the Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Moscow
A working meeting between Svetlana Smirnova, Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly, and Lu Xiaojun, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, took place on February 9, 2026 at the Chinese Embassy in Moscow.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly Valery Ruzin and State Secretary of the Assembly Alena Dolgopolova, as well as the third Secretary of the Embassy Hou Ruoyun.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas for the development of humanitarian and public cooperation, prospects for cooperation between the World Peoples Assembly and non-governmental organizations of the People's Republic of China, as well as the participation of Chinese partners in international initiatives of the Assembly.
Special attention was paid to the preparation of the Second World Public Summit, scheduled for 2026, the regional World Public Summits, as well as the development of the International Contest "Leader of Public Diplomacy".
The parties expressed mutual interest in developing dialogue and building sustainable forms of cooperation aimed at strengthening trust, mutual understanding and partnership between peoples.
