Commissioner for Human Rights in Moscow Andrey Metsler Meets with Secretary‑General of the World Peoples Assembly
A working meeting between Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary‑General of the World Peoples Assembly, and Andrey Metsler, Commissioner for Human Rights in Moscow, took place on August 10, 2026 at the Assembly’s Moscow headquarters. The meeting was also attended by:
Alena Dolgopolova –Official Secretary of the World Peoples Assembly;
Marina Volkova – Head of the Department of Happiness of the World Peoples Assembly;
Anastasia Shishkina – Co‑Chair of the Coordination Council of the Youth World Peoples Assembly.
The parties discussed strategically important issues at the intersection of their respective areas of activity, including: the organization of joint events (including those aimed at legal education); participation in each other's events and their informational and organizational support; the implementation of joint projects with the involvement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian Houses, and other organizations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as embassies in African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries; the involvement of commissioners working in other regions in the projects; and much more.
The meeting resulted in a preliminary agreement to conclude a cooperation agreement between the parties. The document is to be signed at the Second World Public Assembly, which will take place on September 18–19 at the International Trade Centre in Moscow.
During the meeting, Marina Volkova also told Andrey Metsler about the projects of the Department of Happiness and presented him with postcards – "Letters of Happiness".
