World Peoples Assembly Delegation Visited Al-Mamoun University in Baghdad

On Sunday, December 7, the World Peoples Assembly delegation headed by Secretary-General Andrey Belyaninov was warmly welcomed by the leadership of Al-Mamoun University in Baghdad, represented by Dr. Salah Al-Shammari.

Dr. Salah Al-Shammari serves as Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees and is a key partner of the World Peoples Assembly in the framework of the upcoming Arab Summit, which is planned to take place in Iraq's capital in April 2026. From the first minutes of the meeting, the parties confirmed their shared commitment to the summit's objectives and outlined strategic directions for joint preparation.

During the tour of the educational institution's premises, the delegation became acquainted with the university's infrastructure. Al-Mamoun University is one of Iraq's largest educational institutions. Today, more than 11,000 students study there, with an expected addition of another 8,000 people next year.

The visit confirmed the high level of trust and readiness for close partnership in anticipation of one of the most important international events of 2025.

The meeting laid the foundation for constructive dialogue and joint steps to strengthen humanitarian and academic partnership.
