Didier Chaudesaygues took part in the D. I. Mendeleyev International Prize for UNESCO-Russia
On July 17, 2026, at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, Didier Chaudesaygues, Deputy Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly, President of the Russian-French Economic Chamber (France), took part in the ceremony of awarding the UNESCO–Russia D.I. Mendeleev International Prize.
The Award was established in 2019 and is aimed at supporting scientific progress and finding solutions to pressing social, economic and environmental challenges.
The Award winners of the in 2026 are Professor Pan Jianwei and Professor Sergei S. Sheiko (USA, Russia).
Didier Chaudesaygues noted the importance of international scientific initiatives for the development of dialogue between the countries.
– Support for fundamental science is a contribution to long–term cooperation based on knowledge, trust and a common interest in development.
The UNESCO–Russia D. I. Mendeleev International Prize was established in 2019 and is awarded annually for contributions to the development, dissemination and international cooperation in the field of fundamental sciences.
