On November 9 - 12, 2026, Jordan will host World Public Summit: The Arab World, “Dialogue, Cultural Heritage and Partnership for a Shared Future,” organized by the World Peoples Assembly and the Arab Peace Group. Participants will discuss how to turn international dialogue into joint projects in culture, education, science, public diplomacy and business cooperation. The main business program will take place in Amman, with the final day in Petra.

The Summit will bring together public figures, representatives of international organizations and government authorities, the academic and expert community, educational and cultural institutions, youth and women’s associations, business circles and the media.

In focus is the Arab world as a space of rich cultural heritage, modern initiatives and international partnership. Participants will consider opportunities for cooperation based on respect for cultural diversity, common human values and readiness for joint action.

The Public Summit will continue the series of 2026 World Public Summits held in India, Brazil and Ethiopia, and will contribute to the development of the decisions of the Second World Public Assembly “New World: Values That Unite,” held in September in Moscow.

November 9: Spiritual Heritage, Youth Initiatives and the Image of the Future

The program will begin with a visit to the site of the Baptism of Jesus Christ on the Jordan River. In Bethany beyond the Jordan, a roundtable is planned: “The Holy Land and the Arab World: Spiritual Heritage as a Space for Dialogue.” Its participants will discuss the role of spiritual traditions in strengthening mutual understanding between peoples and representatives of different faiths.

The International Youth Forum “Generation of Unity: From Knowledge to Joint Initiatives” will focus on finding partners, exchanging experience and developing projects in which young people from different countries can participate together.

At the roundtable “NGOs, Volunteering and Charity in the Arab World: A Driving Force for Development,” participants are expected to discuss the activities of public organizations and opportunities for research cooperation. Among the proposals is the formation of a working group to study NGOs and other institutions of public self-organization, drawing on the experience of the Center for Civil Society and Non-Profit Sector Studies at HSE University.

The strategic project session “World Peoples Assembly: The Image of the Future” will bring together representatives of the Assembly, the Arab Peace Group and partner organizations. The agenda includes the development of an international network of representative offices, specialized councils, the youth community, joint programs and projects. Particular attention will be given to expanding cooperation in Arab countries.

At the pitch session of the “Public Diplomacy Leader” competition, winners will present their projects and opportunities for new partners to join. Authors of initiatives from Arab countries are expected among the participants.

The day’s program will conclude with a literary salon of the World Organization of Writers (WOW), “Creating the Image of the Future Human in Literature.” Writers and researchers will discuss how the literature of different peoples helps to reflect on the future of humanity, its values and responsibility.
