On August 1, the XXI "Won Together" Film Festival will stop Accepting Applications
On August 1, 2026, the XXI Vladimir Menshov “Won Together” Film Festival will stop accepting applications. The jury has already received applications with documentaries from 28 countries and 28 regions of Russia.
The Festival program includes international and national contests. The international contest is divided into three blocks: "Memory" — works about the events and exploits of the Great Patriotic War and World War II; "Reflection" — films about achievements and overcoming obstacles in the modern world; student documentaries and animation works. The national contest will feature films on historical and modern themes.
Documentaries, projects for television and online platforms, as well as debut works created in 2025-2026 are accepted for participation. The terms of participation are published in the Regulations and on the official website of the Festival.
The international jury of the Festival in 2026 will be headed by the American historian Peter Kuznik. In addition, for the first time, the monetary prize "Happiness of Victory", established by the information partner of the film forum, the Happiness Aggregator media holding, will be awarded at the screening. It will honor filmmakers about the power of human hope, the ability to find light even in difficult circumstances and keep faith in the future.
The cultural event will bring together documentary filmmakers who reveal the themes of victory in various spheres of life, peacemaking, religious tolerance and humanism. The Festival events will be held at the venues of Moscow and Sochi on September 14 - 24, 2026.
The program will include:
screenings of competitive and non-competitive works;
The All-Russian Film Marathon "Won Together";
meetings with directors;
round tables;
open lectures and workshops;
educational events for young filmmakers.
The organizers will pay special attention to working with young people. The Documentary Filmmaker's Media School will complement the educational block of the Festival. Also, they announced the enrollment in film school "Overcoming" for creative youth.
The organizers of the Film Festival are the World Peoples Assembly, the Integration Production Center, the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio and the Intellectual Resource company. The Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
