The Chairman of the Assembly of Notables of Jordan, Faisal al-Fayez, supported the holding of the World Public Summit: Arab World
A meeting between the joint delegation of the World Peoples Assembly and the Arab Group for Peace and the Chairman of the Assembly of Notables (Senate) of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Faisal al-Fayez, took place on July 9 in Amman. The event was part of the working visit of the World Peoples Assembly to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The meeting was attended by:
Andrei Belyaninov – Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly;
Faisal al-Fayez – Chairman of the Assembly of Notables (Senate) of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
Ali Nasser Mohammed – President of the Arab Group for Peace, former President of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (1980–1986);
Samir Habashneh – Secretary-General of the Arab Group for Peace, former Minister of Culture of Jordan.
The main topic of the talks was the preparation of the World Public Summit: Arab World, scheduled to be held in Jordan in November 2026. During the meeting, Samir Habashneh presented the concept of the event, outlining its goals, format, and main areas of work.
Ali Nasser Mohammed emphasized that the decision to hold the World Public Summit: Arab World was made by the Arab Group for Peace together with the World Peoples Assembly. He noted that the summit is intended to become a permanent international platform for public diplomacy, bringing together representatives of states, international organizations, the academic community, and civil society institutions.
Andrei Belyaninov noted the special role of Jordan in the Arab world as a state consistently advocating for the development of dialogue, peace, and international cooperation. He thanked Ali Nasser Mohammed and the Arab Group for Peace for their support of the initiative to hold the summit and expressed his hope for the assistance of the Parliament of Jordan in the preparation and holding of this significant international event.
Faisal al-Fayez expressed full support for the initiative to hold the World Public Summit: Arab World. He particularly emphasized the growing role of public diplomacy and parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening trust between states and peoples, developing international dialogue, and expanding cooperation. Faisal al-Fayez also confirmed his readiness to take personal part in the work of the World Public Summit: Arab World and expressed his confidence that the holding of the summit will make an important contribution to the development of public diplomacy, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the promotion of a culture of peace, trust, and mutual understanding between peoples.
