The official opening and presentation of the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly in the state of Telangana took place on August 5, 2026 in Hyderabad, India. The new platform is designed for joint projects with partners from other Indian states and, in the future, for the development of international humanitarian initiatives in the south of the country.

The event marked an important milestone in the development of international humanitarian cooperation and public diplomacy. It brought together representatives of government authorities, parliamentarians, heads of state‑owned companies, scholars and educators, the business community, non‑governmental organizations and the media from four Indian states – Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu – as well as international partners of the World Peoples Assembly.

Following Indian tradition, the official opening began with the lighting of a symbolic lamp with the participation of honored guests. This ancient ritual, symbolizing the light of knowledge, wisdom, peace and an auspicious beginning, holds a special place in India's most significant state and public ceremonies. Its performance underscored the World Peoples Assembly’s respect for the country's cultural heritage and served as a symbol of the start of the Representative Office's work.

The guest of honour at the event was Damsari Anasuya (Seethakka), Minister of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women and Children Welfare of the Government of Telangana. She officially inaugurated the Representative Office of World Peoples Assembly in Telangana:

- Public diplomacy, humanitarian cooperation and cultural exchange are of particular importance for strengthening mutual understanding between peoples. The traditionally friendly relations between India and Russia, built over decades, remain a solid foundation for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

On behalf of the Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri A. Revanth Reddy, Ms. Damsari Anasuya wished the Representative Office of the World Peoples Assembly every success in its work and expressed confidence that the organization’s international humanitarian ties would continue to grow.
