The Round Table "Space is the Shared Future of Humanity" held in New Delhi discussed the Prospects for Russia-India Relations

On March 26, 2026, the Russian Center for Science and Culture (Russian House) in New Delhi hosted the International round table "Space is the Shared Future of Humanity". The event was held as part of the World Public Summit: India "New World: India in the Architecture of the Common Future" and brought together students and young scientists from Indian colleges and universities who are interested in space exploration and the development of international cooperation in this field.

The participants of the round table were welcomed by:

  • Elena Remizova Head of the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in India,
  • Shivani Verma Professor of the Institute of Space Sciences and Technologies Amity,
  • Alyona Kuzmenko President of the charity foundation Unity, an expert in international charity and cultural projects.

The Russian cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Oleg Skripochka became main guest of the event. In the format of an open dialogue, he shared with the audience the unique experience of three space flights and work in outer space. The cosmonaut focused in detail on the issues of preparation for missions, the specifics of international crew interaction in orbit, and modern technological solutions used in manned space exploration. Oleg Skripochka's answers about the prospects for exploring deep space and Russia's role in global space programs were particularly interesting to the audience.

The speech by Shivanee Verma, a professor at the Amity Institute of Space Sciences and Technology, enriched the roundtable. She emphasized the importance of educational exchanges and joint scientific projects between Russia and India, and highlighted the contribution of young people to shaping a new era of international cooperation in space exploration.

Summing up the discussion, Alyona Kuzmenko, President of the Unity Charitable Foundation, addressed the participants with a final message:

– Space unites all of humanity. It is the only environment It is the only environment where all of our planet’s beauty and vulnerability can be seen. Space, as a unified space for human development, is the foundation upon which we can strengthen our unity here on Earth.

The event was held in a warm and open atmosphere; it confirmed the high potential for Russian-Indian cooperation in space research and the importance of joining forces for a shared future.
