The World Peoples Assembly Congratulates Friends on the High State Awards of Russia
On November 4, 2026, the National Unity Day, the Kremlin hosted a solemn ceremony of presenting the state awards of the President of the Russian Federation for contribution to strengthening the unity of the Russian nation. Among the awardees are good friends and like-minded members of the World Peoples Assembly, those, whose long-term work helps to strengthen trust between nations, develop cultural ties and public diplomacy.
- This is a special joy for the Assembly: people with whom we share values, friendship and common causes have received high recognition, - said Svetlana Smirnova, Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly.
Speaking at the ceremony, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the citizens of the country on the holiday and thanked the foreign representatives. The Head of State stressed the importance of humanitarian, cultural, educational and business cooperation for the development of relations between the two countries.
The Order of Friendship was awarded to Zukhra Hadji-Makhmudovna Shidakova, Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan, President of the Ata-Jurt International Association of Karachays.
During the presentation, Vladimir Putin stressed that Zukhra Shidakova pays special attention to the values of interethnic peace and harmony in her work, and does a lot to promote the culture of the peoples of Russia in Kyrgyzstan.
Accepting the award, she thanked for the attention to Russian compatriots abroad and the appreciation of her work. Zukhra Shidakova wished prosperity to Russia and Kyrgyzstan, and health, peace, kindness and unity to the peoples of the two countries, stressing that the unity of the people is the foundation and strength of any state.
- Zukhra Shidakova stood at the origins of our Assembly and has been involved in its development for many years. Her experience, energy, spiritual generosity and dedication to strengthening friendship between nations have earned the deep respect of her colleagues. We value her participation in the life of the Assembly and her continued support for common endeavors, - the World Peoples Assembly notes.
Zhou Lijun, Deputy Chairman of the Sino-Russian Friendship Society and President of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia, was also awarded the Order of Friendship.
The Russian President praised his work in attracting Chinese businesses to the Russian economy and developing public diplomacy.
In his speech, Zhou Lijun stressed that he sees the order as a recognition of the work of all those who strengthen friendship between the peoples of China and Russia. He noted the high level of relations between the two countries and expressed his willingness to continue to make a personal contribution to the development of friendship and cooperation.
Alexander von Bismarck, Head of the Russian-German Bismarck Dialogue Forum, was awarded the Pushkin Medal.

The Pushkin Medal was awarded to Carolina Gaspar Ramirez, director of the Mexico - Russia Cultural Center, one of the winners of the 2026 International "Leader of Public Diplomacy" competition, for her great contribution to the preservation and popularization of Russian culture abroad.
Speaking in the Kremlin in Russian, she thanked the leadership and the people of Russia for the high award and expressed deep respect for Russian history and culture. Carolina Gaspar Ramirez assured that she will continue to work to strengthen friendship and cooperation between Mexico and Russia.
