The World Public Summit: Africa "New World: Africa in Shaping a Shared Future" in Ethiopia will bring together Participants from 54 Countries of the Continent
On July 29-30, 2026, the United Nations Economic Commission in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) will host the World Public Summit: Africa "The New World: Africa in Shaping a Shared Future" held under the auspices of the World Peoples Assembly. The event will bring together more than 700 representatives of international organizations, public institutions, government agencies, expert and business communities from 54 African countries.
The program of the Summit includes:
Plenary session I – "Values, development and partnership as the basis of a sustainable and just world";
Plenary session II – "The preservation of African heritage and the role of the Global Black History, Heritage and Education Centre";
Award ceremony for the winners of the regional stage of the V International Contest "Leader of Public Diplomacy";
Panel session "True sovereignty – infrastructure, food, information ecosystem";
Panel session "International scientific and educational cooperation for sustainable development";
Panel session "Youth – development of professional and personal potential, education, employment, international leadership programs";
Meeting of the International Media Club;
Panel session "Innovations for the Future: challenges and opportunities";
Panel session "Creativity and Cultural diplomacy – diplomacy for a shared future";
Exhibition area "Innovations for the future: technologies, education, products";
Gala concert program at the Adwa Memorial Museum
and other events aimed at strengthening public diplomacy, humanitarian cooperation and a culture of mutual respect.
– The Addis Ababa Summit is an important step towards creating a space where Africa's voice will be heard as an equal and significant voice in the global dialogue about the future of humanity. The aim of all the Summit events is to develop public diplomacy projects in the region, involving NGOs, the academic community, business and youth. Following the Summit outcomes, it is planned to form a package of joint proposals for inclusion in the agenda of the Second World Public Assembly, which will take place on September 18-19, 2026 in Moscow.
