The event marked a new stage in the development of international social and humanitarian dialogue and the consistent continuation of the ideas of the World Public Assembly "A New World of Conscious Unity" in 2025. It continued the international cycle of regional public summits in 2026, the first of which was held in March in India, and the next one is scheduled for July in Ethiopia. As a result of these events, practical initiatives and proposals from civil society will be formed for presentation at the Second World Public Assembly "New World: Values that Unite" in Moscow in September 2026.

– Brazil is one of the largest countries in the world, with a large population, a huge area, and a distinctive culture. In South America, colonialism has always been present to varying degrees. The continent has experienced slavery and many other things that oppressed people, suppressed their consciousness. Right now, no one in the world, and Latin America in particular, wants a repeat of neocolonialism. Everyone talks about freedom, the desire to live in peace, kindness, harmony, and happiness. It is very important. The fact that we have gathered in Salvador, the first capital of Brazil, is very symbolic. I am sure that during the Summit, the participants will be able to express everything that will contribute to our unity – the unity of human consciousness and thoughts. What is now called public diplomacy, friendship diplomacy, is a vivid manifestation of the fact that people want to live without conflicts and without, perhaps, the wrong actions of politicians who sometimes solve their own problems, forgetting about the people," - said Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly.

One of the most important outcomes of the Summit was the adoption of the Salvador Declaration. The main principle of the document is "A just world based on the principles of solidarity, trust, mutual respect and shared responsibility for the future." In the Declaration, the participants formulated the shared values of the New World based on the discussions, noted their vision of a shared future and the role of Latin America in it, and identified priority areas for further cooperation.

The Summit was attended by:

  • Raymunda Monteiro – Executive Secretary of the Council for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development (CDESS) under the President of Brazil;
