World Peoples Assembly’s Delegation had a Meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan at the Forum of Friendship of Arab Countries with Russia "Under One Sun"

The official meeting of the World Peoples Assembly’s delegation with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, took place within the framework of International Forum and the Constituent Congress of the Pan-Arab Union of Organisations for Friendship with Russia on February 8, 2026. The main topic of the meeting was the development of tourism and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the World Peoples Assembly delegation:

  • Secretary General Andrey Belyaninov,
  • Deputy Secretary General Yulia Petrova,
  • Advisor to the Secretary General Yaser Allaham.

Dr. Emad Hijazeen noted the important role of public diplomacy in the modern world:

- It's like music that brings nations closer together. This is important for Jordan, and we strive to maximize humanitarian ties, including tourism.

Yulia Petrova expressed the willingness of the World Peoples Assembly to help unlock Jordan's tourism potential.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issue of youth involvement in humanitarian cooperation.

- The World Peoples Assembly plans a student exchange program. This will contribute to the strengthening of humanitarian ties and the development of tourism. At the first stage, 30 people will take part in it.

Andrey Belyaninov noted the importance of working with young people, fostering mutual kindness and respect for other cultures and religions.

 In the context of the discussion of UNESCO issues, Andrei Belyaninov emphasized:

- In the 21st century, cultural heritage simply needs to be treated with care.

Yulia Petrova invited Dr. Emad Hijazeen to be the guest of honor at the International Tourism Congress in Samarkand, which will be held in 2026.

In conclusion, Dr. Emad Hijazeen thanked the delegation for the informative dialogue:

- I'm sure you can do more than politicians. Public diplomacy is able to overcome the difficulties that prevent nations from communicating.
