World Peoples Assembly and Russia-Jordan Friendship Society Discuss Preparations for World Public Summit: Arab World

A meeting between representatives of the Russia-Jordan Friendship Society and Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly, took place on July 27, 2026, at the Assembly's headquarters in Moscow. The event was held as part of the society's friendly visit to the Russian capital and marked an important step in the development of public diplomacy between the Russian Federation and the Arab world.

The head of the Russia-Jordan Friendship Society, Yusif Hamdan, warmly thanked the World Peoples Assembly and its Secretary General personally for the excellent organization of the meeting and emphasized the importance of joint efforts in strengthening humanitarian ties:

— We highly appreciate the World Peoples Assembly’s contribution to the development of friendly relations and are ready to further strengthen our cooperation in the interest of intercultural dialogue aimed at peaceful coexistence.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation between the World Peoples Assembly and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the cultural, educational, and public humanitarian spheres, as well as the participation of Jordanian partners in key international initiatives of the Assembly.

A separate agenda item was the discussion of the organization and preparation of the World Public Summit: Arab World, scheduled for November 2026 in Amman. The meeting participants outlined possible formats for the participation of Jordanian public organizations, experts, and representatives of the academic community in the Summit, and also agreed to continue consultations on the substantive program and media coverage of the event.

Members of the delegation highly appreciated the role of the World Peoples Assembly in strengthening friendly ties between Russia and the Arab world, and also expressed their readiness to facilitate the implementation of joint initiatives in the interests of shared development.
