The World Public Summit “The New World: India in the architecture of the shared future” took place in New Delhi on March 23 – 26, 2026. The event is a new stage in the formation of the global humanitarian agenda; it opened the international cycle of the regional public summits of 2026 – “India”, “Arab World”, “Latin America”, “Africa” and “Europe”. As a result of these events, practical initiatives and proposals from civil society will be formulated to be presented at the Second World Public Summit “The New World: Values that Unite” in Moscow in September 2026.

The Summit brought together more than 1,500 politicians, diplomats, scientists, business representatives, media, religious and public organizations, as well as youth leaders from 27 countries, including representatives of 7 world religions. The event was organized by the World Peoples Assembly and the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Summit included 17 international events, which were covered by more than 70 journalists from around the world.

The planet is tired of injustice, tired of wars, tired of politicians who do not see the needs of the people. And what we are talking about is the happiness and well-being of our families, our children, respect for elders, and traditional family values. We need to speak loudly so that the whole world can hear, – said Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly, in his message to the Summit.

March 23

The first day of the Summit saw the opening of the International Media Club of the World Peoples Assembly – a permanent platform for interaction between representatives of the international media community aimed at developing value-based communication and strengthening global dialogue. Another event of the first day was a meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the World Peoples Assembly. Cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka announced his plans to participate in several Summit events at once.

The second day of the Summit focused on happiness, sustainable development and the unification of society based on shared values. The central event was a conference under the auspices of UNESCO, where spiritual unity, intercultural dialogue and the role of humanitarian principles in the modern world were discussed.

Numerous roundtables and meetings with educational and international organizations were also held on this day. Participants discussed the role of family, culture and values in achieving public well-being. The exhibition "The World Paints Happiness" with works by Indian authors successfully complemented the program, highlighting the importance of art in international dialogue.

The central event of the third day was the plenary session. Its participants — representatives of international organizations, the academic community, and public figures — discussed key findings and agreed on further steps to promote the ideas of well-being, sustainable development, and intercultural cooperation. The outcome was the consolidation of the agreements reached in the Delhi Declaration and a common understanding of the need to continue cooperation at the global level.

On the final day of the Summit, the forum "Cinema and Scripts for a New World of Conscious Unity" took place. Experts from eight countries discussed cinema as a tool of public diplomacy. The result was the signing of six cooperation protocols, including the establishment of the Unity International Microdrama Film School. A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the World Peoples Assembly and the Indian Centre for Studies in International Relations (CSIR).

In parallel, roundtables were held: "Space is the Shared Future of Mankind" with the participation of cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka, "The Formula of National Happiness" with an emphasis on the role of cultural heritage, and the youth roundtable "Generation of Unity".

This day ended with a beautiful creative action – painting with colors the sculpture of an elephant, a symbol of the unifying power of culture.

One of the most important outcomes of the summit was the adoption of the Delhi Declaration. Its main principle is "The unity of humanity is revealed through respect for civilizational diversity, the dignity of the individual, and shared responsibility for the future." This principle marks a transition from dialogue to collaborative creation and serves as an ideological basis for further development of global cooperation.

- Today, New Delhi witnessed more than just an international event. A new logic of interaction was established here, where values become the basis of policy, dialogue becomes a tool for development, and trust becomes the main resource for the future, - according to Svetlana Smirnova, Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly.

The World Peoples Assembly is an international union of non-governmental organizations that forms a humanitarian platform for cooperation between the peoples of the world based on trust, mutual respect and common values.
