The Arab Universities Union will Participate in the Preparation of the World Public Summit: Arab World

A meeting between the delegation of the World Peoples Assembly and the Secretary-General of the Arab Universities Union, Professor Amr Ezzat Salama, took place in Amman on July 9, 2026. The event was part of the working visit of the World Peoples Assembly to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The main topic of the talks was the preparation of the World Public Summit: Arab World, scheduled to be held in Jordan in November, as well as the Second World Public Assembly "New World: Values That Unite," which will take place in Moscow on September 18–19.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing international cooperation in the field of higher education, science and academic exchanges, as well as the participation of the Arab Universities Union in the upcoming international forums.

The participants paid special attention to holding international sessions on education within the framework of the World Public Assembly and the World Public Summit: Arab World, as well as organizing meetings of university leaders and rectors aimed at developing academic cooperation and implementing joint educational initiatives.

Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly Andrei Belyaninov proposed that Professor Amr Ezzat Salama join the organizing committees of the Second World Public Assembly and the World Public Summit: Arab World, as well as participate in the preparation of their program and outcome documents.

Professor Amr Ezzat Salama welcomed the initiatives of the World Peoples Assembly, expressed his readiness to join the organizing committees of the upcoming international events, take an active part in their preparation, including the development of outcome documents, and facilitate the involvement of universities and the academic community of Arab countries in their participation.

The sides expressed confidence that the cooperation between the World Peoples Assembly and the Arab Universities Union will make an important contribution to the development of international educational and scientific cooperation, public diplomacy, and the strengthening of humanitarian ties between countries and peoples.
