The Minister of Transport of Jordan Met with the Delegation of the World Peoples Assembly
A joint delegation of the World Peoples Assembly and the Arab Peace Group held a working meeting with the Minister of Transport of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Nidal Al-Katamine, on July 8, 2026. The event was part of the working visit of the World Peoples Assembly to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The meeting was attended by:
Svetlana Smirnova – Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly;
Nidal Al-Katamine – Minister of Transport of Jordan;
Alena Dolgopolova – Secretary of State of the World Peoples Assembly;
Yaser Allaham – Advisor to the Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly;
Pavel Bezdenezhnykh – Head of the Office of the Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly;
Najla Hamad – Executive Secretary of the Arab Peace Group.
as well as representatives of the Arab Peace Group and the organization responsible for the preparation and holding of the World Public Summit: The Arab World.
During the meeting, issues related to the preparation of the World Public Summit: The Arab World were considered, the holding of which is planned for November 2026 in Amman.
The parties discussed the concept of the Summit, its program and main areas of work, as well as organizational and logistical issues of preparing the international event. The participants paid special attention to ensuring the effective work of foreign delegations, interaction with Jordanian government bodies, and creating other necessary conditions for the successful holding of the Summit.
The Minister of Transport of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan noted the importance of international public initiatives aimed at developing a culture of peace, dialogue and cooperation among peoples, emphasizing the special role of Jordan as a state that has traditionally served as a platform for international interaction and humanitarian initiatives.
During the meeting, the delegation of the World Peoples Assembly presented the concept of the World Public Summit as a new international platform for public diplomacy, uniting leaders of public diplomacy, representatives of international organizations, government bodies, civil society institutions, the scientific and expert community, educational and cultural institutions, youth and women's associations, business circles and the media.
The meeting participants paid special attention to the development of humanitarian cooperation, education, science, culture, youth initiatives, tourism, public communications, and other areas that contribute to strengthening trust and developing international cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for further cooperation and continued joint work on the preparation of the World Public Summit: The Arab World.
